I have seen many people talking about keeping raving underground in Perth, if you raved 5 years ago, you would know that is a load of bullshit.  This picture is the location of one of Perth’s most (in)famous underground raves illegally held in North Perth.  You may look at the picture and see an empty space of land here.

This is because after the rave was shut down, the promoter dramatically arrested by cops on the main stage, the ravers evacuated, the building was demolished within a few weeks.

This was a real underground event, with no mention on Facebook or Myspace and only SMS’s sent out to ravers who were in the know.  This required people to go through an alleyway and crawl through a fence into a completely dark building only brightened by the centre stage, the toilets were not working, staircase rails rusted and the building in a highly derelict state.  This was far from the quality venues many FORCE ravers are used too today but this was far from the point, considering the owners risked (and did) get arrested for daring to through an illegal event almost in the heart of the city.

Raves these days are a little bit less underground…

This was found a few years ago within 5 minutes of the CBD on a main road.  ^^
