On the weekend of the 26th and 27th of June, the Supanova Pop Culture Expo hits Perth.  10,000 are expected to pack through the doors of this huge sci-fi, anime, comic book and gaming event.  This is a convention of epic proportions with plenty for everyone to do, there’s a huge number of stalls to browse, celebrities to meet and greet, lots of special events and of course what makes Supanova, the fans and if you’ve never been to a convention, they take dressing up to one hell of an extreme!

For those not really into the whole geek thing there is a wonderful time to be had by all, the fans are extremely friendly and the costumes need to be seen to be believed in real life, we’re talking a bit more effort then just going down to the local fancy dress hire store, lots of blood sweat and tears go into some of these outfits over months and hundreds and on the odd occasion even thousands of dollars get spent on these outfits!

This is a day or a weekend that you have to experience and check out, it is a religious mecca for all fans of all thinks geek and for the rest of us it’s the one weekend where we all get to escape our monotonous lives and check out a bright, explosive land of mayhem and excitement that you won’t forget.
